Growing up, I spent most of my time on horseback, or hiding out at the ice rink, in Tucson, AZ. In college, I swapped the desert for the rain forests of Washington state, where I earned a B.A. in Creative Writing at the University of Washington in Seattle.
In 2019, my husband and I made the decision to move from our home on an island in the Puget Sound to Asheville, to be nearer family and to have a great home base from which to explore all that the East Coast has to offer. The move included two ferry boats, three moving trucks, and a six-hour flight with our nervous Chihuahua. Once we landed, the real work of making a home here in the mountains began.
In the five years since we’ve moved, the beauty of the Appalachian spring and fall have completely won me over, and I’m still star-struck every time I see one of our Black Bear neighbors. Getting to know extended family better, and the friendships I’ve made have helped make my goal of becoming part of our new community a reality.
With a background in Marketing, several years of education in Interior Design, and extensive experience in large-scale Event Planning, I bring an abundance of attention to the details and deadlines of every transaction. My decision to change careers to become a licensed real estate broker was made over many years and after many successful personal real estate investments. Because I own an investment property, I understand NC Landlord-Tenant law and can provide extensive advice to those looking to invest in income-producing properties. Most importantly, I have a deep love for historic homes, especially the mid-century era, and an eye for seeing the potential in properties that need a little love.
With firsthand knowledge of the intricacies involved in uprooting and moving, I would love to help you find a smooth path to your new mountain home! If you are interested in selling, looking to buy or seeking an investment property, and need a REALTOR who will listen to your needs and act with integrity at all times, let’s talk!
