Hi! I’m Tonya Oxford. I’ve had the privilege of living in Asheville, NC since 1991. I love this vibrant, fun, food-centric city and even more so, the beautiful surrounding mountains. This is home and it is easy to see and understand why it attracts people from all over the country.
I also love real estate, and I love working with people. Combining these three loves into one career has been an incredible opportunity, and one I truly enjoy.
A brief resume summary: I graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelors in business, majoring in real estate and finance. In 2004, I became an appraiser apprentice and in 2007, a certified residential real estate appraiser. In 2021, with the help of my husband, I opened Oxford Home Valuations, and together we run our own appraisal business. In 2017, I obtained my brokers license so I could expand my real estate ambitions and do what I enjoy even more, which is helping others with their real estate needs. I have found that being a real estate appraiser has helped me be a better agent, while being an agent has helped me be a better appraiser! The two perspectives combined bring an extensive and deep knowledge of the local market, and all it’s little sub-markets.
My own personal real estate journey includes purchasing and helping restore a 1920’s bungalow, owning a duplex and being a landlord for over 15 years, designing and building the home we currently live in, and most recently, we successfully completed our first flip, turning a run down rancher into a charming and cheerful home. All this personal experience provides an even broader range of expertise to real estate world.
Wherever you are in your real estate journey, I’m here to help!! Buy, Sell, Invest, Divest, whatever the case may be, I’m ready to share my knowledge and put it to work for you!
