Downtown Asheville
The lights in downtown Asheville make a beautiful backdrop while out holiday shopping and enjoying local restaurants. Following the Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 17, there will be a lighting ceremony in Park Square Park at 6 pm. Both Pack Square and Pritchard Park will be lit up with twinkling lights right in the heart of the city.
Omni Grove Park Inn
The Omi Grove Park Inn has elaborate decorations, lights and a display of over 150 gingerbread houses throughout the holiday season. Enjoy hot chocolate near one of their many fireplaces or looking outside to the vast mountain view. There is no place cozier in Asheville during the holidays than the Omni Grove Park Inn.

Christmas at Biltmore
The classic Christmas at Biltmore event is something everyone should experience during the holidays. See the giant 55-foot tree that’s decorated with over 55,000 lights on the front lawn as well as 60 more trees inside the house. The house is best visited in the evening hours during the holidays so you can really get the true experience of all the magical lights. Just outside the Biltmore Estate is Biltmore Village that is also decked out with lights among boutique shops and popular restaurants.

Winter Lights at the North Carolina Arboretum
The Arboretum is not only enjoyable in the warmer months, but also in winter with this bright holiday light display. The Winter Lights display features 500,000 energy-efficient LED lights throughout the gardens. Walk the gardens with a cup of hot chocolate and get into the holiday spirit this season. This is a festive event for the whole family to enjoy!
Lake Julian Festival of Lights
The Lake Julian Festival of Lights is a local favorite drive-thru light show that illuminates a Buncombe County Park. Enjoy 50 animated and stationary light displays while you drive through the park. You’ll see thousands of dazzling lights placed along your journey that circles Lake Julian Park. Not only is this a beautiful holiday event, but you’ll also be supporting the Buncombe County Special Olympics.
